Chris Sutton receives APMP Award
On 29th November 2017 our very own Dr Chris Sutton was awarded this year's Asia- Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) Award at the APMP's General Assembly in India for his "Significant contribution to the development of metrology in the Asia-Pacific region".
We always regarded Chris as a world expert but now it has been officially recognised by APMP. Chris's career in metrology spans 42 years faithfully with MSL, working through some very interesting times of metrological development. Currently Chris is focused on building New Zealand's Kibble Balance, a super-precise instrument that aligns with the redefinition of the kilogram and will replace the need for mass artefacts. Chris has been an integral part in many great leaps forward for metrology worldwide and he has helped build MSL's reputation and credibility.
