Biography

Matthias joined Measurement Standards Laboratory in October 2021 to lead the Electricity, Time and Frequency team.

Matthias is an experienced manager with proven expertise in managing teams of highly skilled scientists as well as operators in a 24-7-365 heavy industry production setting. Before joining MSL, he led a team of scientists at the Advanced Materials Group at Callaghan Innovation for 4 years, was Head of Battery Recycling (Plant Manager) at BATREC AG in Switzerland and managed continuous improvement and strategic investment projects in his role as Assistant Manager at World Resources Company GmbH in Germany.
